Carl Martin

Born in 1958 in the USA. Carl Martin is an artist and designer. Trained at the School of Visual Arts in New York, he won a Guggenheim Fellowship for photography and has exhibited in California, New York, Florida and Georgia.

His work is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, MOCA GA in Atlanta, the Hartsfield-Jackson
International Airport in Atlanta and numerous private collections.

In 2012 and 2013 recent work of his was published in a four quarterly series called Free Fall by Fall Line Press.

In 2018 Fall Line Press published an eponymous titled book, Carl Martin, featuring a major body of his work.

MOCA GA aquired an edition of the 25 image body of work in 2018 from the series Public Gesture.

In 2018, his work was presented in an exhibition “New Southern Photography” curated by Richard McCabe at the Ogden Museum in New Orleans. The Ogden Museum of Art published a catalog in book form of the show “ New Southern Photography”, of the 25 artist included.

Recent work on this site are select few of a group of architectural pictures called “Revised Plans”. They were made over the last 12 months and reflect the opportunity to review our inhabited landscape with the goal of creating a new personal dialogue.
